2017 Summer Workshops

It is that awesome time again this year when we introduce our new Summer Workshops! We always try to change and have new exciting classes for the kids and this year we are excited what we have planned.  Classes will be Tuesdays,Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Willy Wonka Candy Factory  -  June 6-8 & June 13-15  -  $55

Come join us in making the most fun, magical candy/treats that every kid dreams of! From every candy you always wanted to try and make from scratch, to the ones you have only seen in Willy Wonka movies! This workshop is full of color, fun, and a Willy Wonka good time! Includes recipes!

Sewing/Crafts  -  June 20-22 & June 27-29  -  $55

A vital skill in life has now turned into the funnest workshop.  Teaching basic sewing skills to actually running the sewing machine making over 5 projects! The class is not just for girls...boys will be able to make tool belts, superhero capes, personalized shoelaces, and more! Girls will be so excited to make stuffed animal clothes, aprons, hair ties and even more creative projects.  Don't miss out on this awesome "life skill" workshop.

Kids Cooking Around the World  -  July 11-13 & July 18-20  -  $55

Without even leaving our classroom, you will be able to experience food from all over the world! The best part is they will be able to cook it all themselves!! Kids will also get a chance to even vote for 2 recipes they have always wanted to try. There is going to be something delicious to eat for every child, even selective eaters, with our sides and desserts. 

Graphic Design   -  July 25-27  -  $ 35 (1 week)

Has your child spent countless amounts of time trying to get a logo copied, print a coloring page, add lettering to a design....? This workshop is perfect to help your kids expand their creativity through electronics. Each child will be taught the basics of computer graphic design, completely design their own logo.design, and get it printed on a t-shirt!! Each child will each be given a quick reference guide of what they learned and you will be amazed at what they can do all by themselves after this workshop!!

We hope to see all of you in the next few months as this is our favorite thing to do in the summer!!

Summer Workshops Cooking A-Z

In our Cooking workshop this week we made some fun recipes. This Summer we wanted to give the kids a recipe for every letter of the alphabet. For our first day we chose the letter Dd and taught the kids to made Donut bites. They absolutely loved them. They also got to decorate an Apron. 

For our 2nd day of Cooking we chose the letters Ee and Ww. Letter Ee they made egg salad. Almost all of the kids were so nervous about the Egg salad. But they tried it and they Liked it! For letter Ww they made Wonder rolls to put the egg salad on. The kids also decorated their recipe boxes

For our 3rd day of cooking we chose Green party punch for letter Gg, and Ham and cheese Roll ups for letter Hh.We surprise the kids with an extra treat texas sheet cake brownies.

Our first week of cooking went great! 

The kids made new friends,stayed busy, and had fun!

Design It Young Art Workshop

 We had a lot of fun in our Art workshop.
As you can see in our photos we did so many fun projects.

Cooking Workshop

In our cooking Class we started out with Cinnamon Rolls and Cream Cheese Frosting

Our 2nd class we made Smoothies and IcePops!

3rd we made Pizza Grilled Cheese Style. The kids all loved theses.

 

For our 4th day the kids made Pretzels

Salty ones and some with cinnamon and sugar.

The 5th day we made Suckers and Dirt Pudding cups.

And our last day we mad Marshmallow popcorn balls and Brownies in a Mug.

I didnt get pictures of the brownie in the mug because we ran out of time. We all thought they turned out great and the kids just loved them.

All in all the cooking workshop turn out great we all had so much fun cooking together. 

Lego Workshop

Our Lego Workshop was so much fun this summer. The kids all had a blast making the video and playing an building with the  Legos.

Music

 Music this week was a lot of fun! We started out with a fun dance game.

     After our dance game we taught the kids about the different types of Instruments. String, Percussion, Brass and Wind.

Next we let the kids all experiment and play with different musical instruments.

 We had some Drums, a piano, ukulele, Guitar, Cymbals, and bells for them to try.

 At the end of class we played one more game to review all different types of Musical Instruments.
